Why every classic needs a correct-spec battery box
The Datsun 240Z engine bay is one of the most pleasant places to work in the classic car world. The engine is accessible from almost every angle. The inline six has sensible packaging. The firewall is relatively uncrowded. There's room to work.
Compare this to a first-generation Camaro with a big-block, where the engine is crammed against the firewall and valve cover access on the driver's side requires removing the brake booster if you want to do it without bleeding.
People don't talk about ergonomics when they talk about which classic to buy. They should. If you're going to spend hundreds of hours working on the car, working on it comfortably matters.
