How I built a 2-post lift in my home garage for under $3,000

The 1972 Plymouth Road Runner is the last year of the muscle car era's pure expression and also one of the last years when Chrysler's E-Body cars retained their original character.

The B-Body Road Runner in 1972 was already transitioning. The compression ratios were down from 1971. The net horsepower ratings made the available engines look weaker than they were. But the 440 six-barrel and the 440 four-barrel were still available, and they were still strong engines.

The 1972 Road Runner is priced below the 1970 and 1971 equivalents because the collector market focuses on peak-era performance. The 1972 cars offer excellent value for buyers who want a capable, attractive B-Body Mopar without paying peak prices for a car that performs very similarly.
