My first barn find — a 1968 Chevelle buried under farm equipment

The 1967 Camaro Indy Pace Car is one of the most frequently faked cars in the muscle car hobby, which is a backhanded tribute to how desirable the configuration is.

The actual Pace Car was a convertible in Ermine White with a Turquoise Blue interior. The Pace Car replica — available through dealers — used the same color combination. The SS/RS package was standard. The Pace Car decals were available separately and are not proof of authenticity.

Authentication requires the specific trim codes on the cowl tag. The genuine Pace Car replicas have documented production numbers and Camaro Research Group records. Without documentation, any white convertible Camaro from 1967 is a white convertible Camaro, not a Pace Car.
