Finally found a numbers-matching 1969 Camaro Z/28 in a barn
The Pontiac Bonneville of the early 1960s is the car most people in the muscle car hobby have never thought about, but it deserves consideration as a collector car in its own right.
The 1962-1964 Bonneville with the 421 cubic inch engine is a large, powerful, beautiful car that represents the peak of Pontiac's full-size performance era before DeLorean redirected the division's attention to mid-size cars. The Wide-Track handling was genuine — Pontiac's wide stance gave the full-size cars better handling than any competitor.
The Bonneville values are minimal despite the cars' quality and performance capability. They're too large for most collectors and don't carry the muscle car prestige of the GTO-era machines. For someone who wants a beautiful, powerful, comfortable American car from the early 1960s, the Bonneville is an extraordinary value.
