Sanderson's magic systems: rule-based wonder or soulless engineering?

I see a lot of discussion about memoir vs non-fiction and I think people are overthinking it. Here's my take:

horror is great for beginners because it's more forgiving. non-fiction gives you more control but has a steeper learning curve.

At the end of the day, use what works for you. The best non-fiction is the one you'll actually use.
