Spirit Island's co-op victory conditions are achievable in genuinely different ways depending on spirit composition. Fear-focused parties can trigger early victory through fear generation. Destruction-focused parties can remove settlements faster than new ones can be placed. Defensive parties can prevent blight accumulation until fear escalates naturally.

The adversary system adds constraints that close off certain victory paths while leaving others open. England Level 4 accelerates settlement growth in ways that make destruction-focused victory harder. Prussia Level 3 accelerates ravaging in ways that make defensive victory harder. Understanding which victory path remains most viable against each adversary configuration is advanced Spirit Island strategy.

For groups that have beaten the base game and want more: try pairing spirit selection deliberately with adversary selection. Some spirit combinations are specifically better against specific adversaries. Discovering these pairings is one of the game's most interesting advanced puzzles.
